Extended Day & Enrichment Activities From our renowned chess program, to after-school art classes, to Brick Builders (our own Lego brick-style building club, we believe in giving Tarriers the opportunity for active, joyful learning extended well beyond the school day. Enrichment runs in three terms (fall, winter, and spring) and generally run for 8 weeks. Rainbow Parrot Art runs 4 times a year, and TOAD (our youth theater partnering organization) runs twice a year, with a production for Middle Schoolers in the fall, and a production for Lower Schoolers in the spring. Your student may participate in enrichment activities and also check in for Kids Club before and/or after their activity. Please register your student(s) in Kids Club in advance to ensure the Pre-registered Kids Club rate ($14/hr) and space for your student. For students in Kids Club before their enrichment activity, enrichment instructors will pick them up from Kids Club. Students not picked up by their guardians at the end of their enrichment class will be checked into Kids Club and charged the daily-drop in rate dependent on time spent at Kids Club. Enrichment and Youth Sports Refunds and Rescheduling Refunds will not be issued for session non-attendance or course withdrawal. If an enrichment course or single session is canceled by Charles Wright Academy for any reason and the session can not be rescheduled, the school will provide a full or pro-rated refund per class session where applicable. Charles Wright Academy will make every effort to reschedule classes canceled by the school. Make up classes can not be offered for student non-attendance. Vendors we work with may have their own policies: please review the policies before enrolling. Pick-Up From Kids Club & Enrichment All students being picked up from Charles Wright Academy, including from enrichment programs and Kids Club (extended day) may only leave campus with approved pick-up contacts listed in Charles Wright Academy’s information databases, Homeroom or Veracross, who are of legal age. Students must be checked out with a CWA staff person on duty, and may be asked for identification for verification purposes. Lower School Pick Up Lower School students should be picked up no later than 5:30 p.m. from the Lower School Commons through the Lower School front doors. Middle School Pick Up Middle School students should be picked up no later than 5:30 p.m. from the Middle School Library. Park in the Middle/Upper School visitor parking and ring the front doorbell when you arrive. Tacoma Youth Chorus Participation CWA is happy to host Tacoma Youth Choir (TYC). They are a separate organization with their own policies and procedures.
