Art Party with Mx. Colleen

Welcome to the Art Party! Join Mx. Colleen for drop-in art classes this fall and dive into the exciting world of modern and contemporary art! Each week, students will explore different artists and their techniques, points of view, and creative processes, creating projects that are both fun and inspiring. Projects include watercolor flowers inspired by Helen Frankenthaler, playful figures in the style of Keith Haring, dynamic 3D cityscapes inspired by Jacob Lawrence, and bold portraits inspired by Kehinde Wiley. Whether your student wants to try a single session or join the entire series, every class is designed to spark imagination, encourage experimentation, and celebrate each student’s unique creativity.

Lower School students also have the opportunity to join additional CWA youth sports teams after school such as Cross Country, Flag Football, Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball and Track & Field, including competitions against other local schools, as part of our after-school enrichment program. We believe in the power of sports to foster character development, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle among our students. Our program offers a wide range of exciting and engaging sports activities designed to suit the interests and abilities of every young athlete. Students can explore various sports and discover their passion. Whether they are beginners or experienced players, our dedicated coaches are committed to helping each student develop their skills, improve their techniques, and reach their full potential.

Summer Camp: Middle School Sports Clinics

Our sports clinics are geared to help passionate and skilled students improve their gameplay over summer break. Come find out what sports at Charles Wright Academy are all about! All summer camp coaches also coach throughout the year at the youth, Middle School, or High School level. Many of our coaches have led CWA athletics to regional and state competitions. CWA prioritizes player safety and teamwork while your student learns and/or improve their technique and gameplay. Sports Clinic: Afternoon sports clinics run from 12:30-3:30 p.m. From 12:30-1:15 p.m., athletes will focus on team-building activities with CWA Summer Camp staff. From 1:15-3:30 p.m., athletes will engage in focused training and skill-building with CWA coaches. Registration includes all activities and a snack. Campers must bring their own water bottle. Camps are based on your camper’s rising grade for the upcoming school year.

Sports clinics for rising grades 1-3 run from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Campers registered in other afternoon camps will be walked from sports clinics to their other camp session after the clinic concludes. Campers must bring their own water bottle. Camps are based on your camper’s rising grade for the upcoming school year.
