KIDS CLUB 2025-26
Your student MUST be registered for KIDS CLUB through homeroom if they are in K-8th grade and plan on staying after school for late pick up at any point throughout the year.

Students from K-8th grade can discover a world of fun at Kids Club, our Extended Day program! Kids Club continues to nurture your Lower School students’ sense of self with active, joyful activities like crafts, games, reading, and outdoor play after the school day ends. Middle School students also benefit from homework support, outdoor time, and board games. Join us for a well-rounded experience that offers a great end to the academic day.

Rates (Daily)
Before-school care: Complimentary
Pre-registered Kids Club: $14 / hour
Late registration Kids Club: $5 drop in fee / day + $14 / hour
Charges are accrued in 5-minute increments and begin when your student checks in (3:15 p.m. when the school day ends, or after a lesson, club or youth sports practice).
Please register your student(s) at least 24 hours in advance to ensure space for your student and avoid the $5 drop in fee.
Extended Day Late Pick-Up Fees
Families who pick up their student after 5:30 will be charged $15 for the first 10 minutes or any portion thereof, and $1 per minute after that. (Example–if someone picks up at 5:35, they will incur a charge of $15. If someone picks up their student at 5:45 they will incur a charge of $20, etc.)
Your student may participate in enrichment activities and also check in for Kids Club before and/or after their activity.
Extended Day Registration
Kids Club is CWA’s Extended Care Program, where students from K-8 can play with their friends and relax after a big day at school! We provide playground time, games, arts, crafts, and even building spaces and materials. We also provide quiet spaces to work on homework or read.
To sign up for Kids Club, please register as a parent at www.homeroom.com/register and create your student account. Please note you must have a homeroom account set up to participate in Kids Club and After School Enrichment. Then you may register for Kids Club at https://www.homeroom.com/sites/private/charles-wright-academy-university-place/extended-care. When you register you are registering for the entire year, and you may register for all week, or specific days by term (Fall/ Winter/ Spring). However, that does not mean your child is expected to attend every single day! Families who are planning on using Kids Club (even once) should at least create an account through Homeroom.

Late Pick Up From School
Any Lower or Middle student not picked up in a timely manner after the school day ends (after carpool is over/ 3:25) will be checked into Kids Club at the drop-in rate ($5 drop-in fee/ day + $14 / hour).
Activities
When the weather allows (which we believe is most of the time!) students will be encouraged to get some outside play time. Kids Club also offers a reading nook for Lower School students to spend time working on their weekly reading logs, arts and crafts opportunities, building supplies (building bricks and construction straws), and puzzle and board game options. Friday afternoons will feature a movie (rated G, newer movies may be rated PG). Middle School students also benefit from homework support, outdoor time, and board games.
Snack Service
All students enrolled in Kids Club will be given a snack. All students enrolled in Kids Club will be given a snack. If your student has dietary restrictions, please send them with an extra snack as we can not guarantee dietary accommodations.
Pick-Up From Kids Club & Enrichment
All students being picked up from Charles Wright Academy, including from enrichment programs and Kids Club (extended day) may only leave campus with approved pick-up contacts listed in Charles Wright Academy’s information database, Veracross, who are of legal age. Students must be checked out with a CWA staff person on duty, and may be asked for identification for verification purposes. Guardians must sign out their student in the notebook at the Lower School front desk (or, if MS pick up, with the staff on duty). Guardians must be 16 years or older.
Lower School Pick Up
Lower School students should be picked up no later than 5:30 p.m. from the Lower School Commons through the Lower School front doors.
Middle School Pick Up
Middle School students should be picked up no later than 5:30 p.m. Before 4:30 they should be picked up from the Middle School Library unless otherwise noted. After 4:30 they should be picked up from the Lower School Commons. For the Middle School, park in the Middle/Upper School visitor parking and ring the front doorbell when you arrive. For the Lower School, park in the Lower School parking lot and ring the front doorbell when you arrive.
Billing
Due to parent feedback from the 2023-24 school year, we will be returning to charging by the hour instead of half/full days. Charges are incurred after Kids Club attendance and are based on time spent at Kids Club. Charges will be billed at $14/ hour. Late-registration (under 24 hours in advance) students will be charged an additional $5/ day. Charges are incurred in 5-minute increments.
For example, if your student checks in at 3:05 and stays for 20 minutes, then the charge is $4.70. If your student stays for an hour and 20 minutes, the charge would be would be $18.70, etc.
Charges through Homeroom, our extended day, enrichment, and camp platform, must be paid by the credit card on file. Charges occur on the 15th of the following month (ex. September attendance charges will be processed on the 15th of October).
Active Supervision on Campus
Any student or youth on campus outside of regular school hours (when the campus is open) and not enrolled in an activity that necessitates their presence (sports, enrichment, Kids Club, etc.) must be actively supervised by an adult guardian. Adult guardians must be within a reasonable distance (as determined by the School) to converse and attend to the needs of the youth they are responsible for. Any students not being actively supervised will be enrolled in Kids Club (extended day) if in session and charged in accordance with Kids Club policies.
Extended Day & Enrichment Activities
All students in grades K-8 enrolled for enrichment activities are welcome to enroll in Kids Club and join us before or after their scheduled activities. For students’ joining us before their enrichment activity, enrichment instructors will pick them up from Kids Club. Students not picked up by their guardians at the end of their enrichment class will be checked into Kids Club and charged the daily-drop in rate dependent on time spent at Kids Club.
