DescriptionTOAD Theater Camp runs ALL DAY, from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., with performances on the last Friday and the Saturday after the final week ends. (6:00 p.m. Friday, July 11 and 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 12)
CWA is proud to partner again with Theatre of Arts Discipline (TOAD) to offer a two-week theater program, TADPOLE, for our younger students. Students will learn basic theater and acting principles, choreography, and singing, all while having fun in the process. This program will culminate in a fully-staged and costumed evening performance of Walt Disney’s 101 Dalmatians KIDS.
About the Musical: Based on the 1956 children’s book, a pair of Dalmatian dogs, Pongo and Missus, live with their human owners in 1957 London. The Dearlys, Pongo, and Missus enjoy a happy life. One day Missus gives birth to eight puppies, and the family is visited by Cruella De Vil, a former classmate of Mrs. Dearly. Cruella tries to buy the litter, but Pongo and Missus' owners refuse to sell them. She hires two men, Jasper and Jinx, to kidnap the puppies, along with many other Dalmatians in the city, to make dog-skinned fur coats. Pongo and Missus run away from home to find their puppies. With help from other dogs across the country, they find them, along with many other puppies, at Cruella's mansion and must get them back home without getting caught by the pursuing Cruella and her henchmen.
Registration includes all activities and a snack. Campers must bring their own lunch and water bottle. Camps are based on your camper’s rising grade for the upcoming school year. Please note there is NO camp July 4.
