Description
In this hands-on enrichment class, students will step into the world of artificial intelligence using Minecraft Education’s official AI Foundations program. Guided by in-game stories, video challenges, and interactive builds, students will learn how AI works—training virtual agents, solving real-world challenges, and exploring how smart systems can help people and the planet. Along the way, they'll discover how to think critically about data, ethics, and digital safety, while coding their way through exciting Minecraft missions. Whether they’re building a smart theme park or helping an AI assistant learn, this class brings computer science and creativity together in one blocky, brilliant adventure. BYOD (Bring Your Own Device): Students may bring their own iPad or laptop if they have permission to install apps. This isn’t required, but it can be helpful since students often feel more comfortable using their own device and will have continued access to the software at home. Shared devices will be available for anyone who doesn’t bring one. Minimum Supported Operating Systems: Chromebook: Chrome OS 114 or newer Mac: macOS 12 (Monterey) or newer PC: Windows 10 or newer Android Phone/Tablet: Android 8 or newer iPhone/iPad: iOS 13 / iPadOS 13 or newer Please ensure devices are fully charged and brought to each class with their chargers.
