DescriptionGet ready to stitch up some fun! In this hands-on beginner crochet class, students in 2nd to 4th grade will learn the basics of crocheting, including how to hold a hook, make a chain, and create simple stitches. With colorful yarn and a little creativity, students will practice their new skills while working toward a fun project of their choice: a headband, scarf, purse, or another small creation. No experience needed—just a willingness to learn, create, and have fun! By the end of the class, students will be proud to show off something they made with their own two hands. Students will learn to do the following throughout the crochet class: • How to hold and use a crochet hook • How to start a project with a slip knot and chain • How to do the single crochet stitch • How to count stitches and rows • How to finish off a project • Patience, focus, and creative problem-solving • Strengthen fine motor skills through precise hand movements • Create their own custom crochet project
