DescriptionIn our creative writing workshop, each student will design unique worlds, craft memorable characters, and experiment with storytelling through writing and mixed media projects. This program has been designed to build confidence in young writers, encouraging them to share their voice and to think outside the box. As they learn about story structure, plot development, and genre, students also practice critical thinking, problem-solving, and self-expression. By the end of the program, every student will take home a notebook full of original ideas and a printed version of their completed book.

DescriptionFor school age athletes, Amazing Athletes P.E. is a progressive skill and game-based sports program that uniquely combines team-based fitness challenges and strength training. A game-based sports program designed to engage school age kids in active wellness through sports-specific training, physical fitness challenges and interactive lessons. Each week, students focus on 1 of 12 sports, learning skills & practicing with game play in a non-competitive environment. - Basketball - Baseball - Capture the Flag - Dodgeball - Football - Track & Field - Handball - Kickball - Pickleball - Soccer - Volleyball We work with each child to meet them where they are in their physical ability and help them strive for their personal best, so that each athlete has the confidence to learn & play. From partner skill activities to team-based fitness challenges & relays, athletes work in pairs to promote teamwork, advance social skills, and develop friendships. We use team-based fitness challenges to introduce the importance of physical fitness, stretching, cardio & conditioning activities for overall health & well-being. We make building muscle fun with partner-based exercises & activities, using age-appropriate weights while teaching athletes about the 10 major muscles.

In this exciting class, students will dive into the‬ ‭ basics of electrical engineering using the‬‭ micro:bit‬‭ chip, a fun-sized yet powerful and easy-to-use‬ ‭ programmable chip. With the help of‬‭ Microsoft MakeCode‬‭ and block-based programming, students will learn‬ ‭ to control electronics, sensors, and lights to build interactive projects! Through playful problem-solving and teamwork, children strengthen critical thinking skills, focus, and perseverance — all while having a great time.
