Panther Care Policies
*Panther Care is offered after school until 6 pm.
All Lower School and Middle School students are eligible to attend Panther Care. Students who leave early during school hours are not able to return for Panther Care that day unless checked in by 3:30.
Students will be grouped with peers their own age.
- Students who are 4 years old will be in the JK program. Once a student turns 5, they can be transferred to the Lower School program.
- Students 5 years old to 4th grade will be in the Lower School program.
-All middle school students will be in the Middle School program.
Families are billed $7 per hour based on your students' attendance. Please enroll your student based on the grade they are in for the 25-26 school year. When enrolling, you will be paying the $20 registration fee for the family. If enrolling multiple students, it should automatically remove any additional students enrollment fee. If it doesn't, use discount code TIS.
Failure to check your student out will result in being billed for the entire time, until 6:00pm. Late pick up will result in a $1 per minute charge billed to your homeroom account.
Families may use Panther Care on a drop-in basis. This will result in a $20 per day, per student charge to your students FACTS account.
Billing is automatically charged to your card on your account. Failure to pay your bill will result in your students' removal from the program until the bill is paid in full. Each month is billed on the 15th. A late fee of $10, will be added for bills paid 5+ days late. For example, August attendance will be billed on September 15th.
The Independent School reserves the right to unenroll any student due to, but not limited to, inappropriate student conduct or actions that do not align with The Independent School's behavior policy. Students are held to the same behavior and conduct expectations during Panther Care as during the school day. Students who are unable to follow these expectations are subject to temporary suspension or removal from Panther Care.
Please note, as we near the first day of school, your student will be "moved" into their assigned age group. You will most likely receive an email regarding this change. Please disregard that email.
Late Pick Up Policy
Panther Care ends at 6:00pm. Students picked up after 6:00pm, will be charged $1 per minute until picked up. Please see potential other consequences for repeated offenses.
1st time - Late fee of $1 per minute
2nd time - Late fee and 3 day suspension from Panther Care.
3rd time - Late fee and 1 week suspension from Panther Care.
4th time - Late fee and indefinite suspension from Panther Care until a meeting with Division Head and Extended Day Lead about reinstatement in the program.
5th time - Late fee and removal from program for the remainder of the 25-26 school year.
