Diya Balaji
Diya Balaji founded FreeSpeak with one goal in mind: to help young students build confidence and find their voice through the power of communication. A junior at Tesla STEM High School, Diya brings years of experience as a nationally recognized competitive debater, having championed Harvard University's 49th Annual Forensics Tournament and the North American Debate Circuit’s Aquamarine Cup. She has earned top speaker awards at major tournaments including Cal State Fullerton and Mount Vernon, and served as the Public Relations Officer for her school’s speech and debate club. Her passion for persuasive communication also extends to business and diplomacy. She placed 3rd nationally in the Future Business Educator event through FBLA and has received multiple awards in Model United Nations, where she now helps run conferences. Through FreeSpeak, Diya combines her expertise with a deep belief that strong communication skills can empower students to advocate for themselves, engage with their communities, and lead with purpose.
