Description
Hello & Welcome to the Sun Dragon Garden Club spring enrichment! During these 9 weeks, we will be planting seeds, starts, tending to the soil & garden, learning about garden pests & beneficial insects, harvesting veggies, fruits & herbs and beautifying our school yard! A big focus will be on what it takes for a seed to thrive, caring for plants, identification of edible herbs, fruits & flowers, building healthy soil as a foundation for growing food and cultivating responsibility & respect for the BF Day garden & our school. We intend to have lots of fun too!! We will be meeting every WEDNESDAY from 1:10-2:30pm at the South end of the playground, in the garden area. This is where parent pick-up will be. Garden Club will be running for 9 weeks starting Wednesday, April 4 and ending on Wednesday, June 4. Please have appropriate clothing for being outside rain or shine for your child. There will be dirt involved 😊 so please know that while we intend to keep it in the garden beds we can’t guarantee super clean kids! Thank you to everyone for paying the suggested donation for garden club ~ the money will be used for seeds, starts, soil, hopefully some new bark chips and garden supplies! Please reach out if you have any questions or if your child will not be attending garden club on any of the Wednesdays we meet. Brooke & Liz
