Art Lesson and Free Art

DescriptionEvery class will start with a lesson. Our weekly lessons are as follows, figure drawing, watercolor, pastels, charcoal, jewelry making / design and cartooning / kawaii drawings. Students also have the option to create on their own having access to all of the above mediums and many more. One of the most popular activities is called challenge art. During challenge art students are provided a variety of odd supplies. Springs, wooden pieces, cardboard, paper, dowel sticks, ribbon, sequins, etc. They are challenged to use their creativity to make something. It is always inspiring to see what they construct and many times they really impress themselves. Through this process kids learn that being an artist is more than just having the ability to draw pretty pictures. We believe that EVERY child is an artist, they just need to be exposed to the right materials and instruction to have their creativity unlocked.

Immersive 2D & 3D Art

DescriptionIn this immersive art program we will learn fundamental art skills in a variety of media including ceramics, sculpture, charcoal and pencil drawing. We will cover ceramics and 3D art, including handbuilding, sculpture, and free clay projects. We will also cover drawing fundamentals including shading, color theory, linear perspective and figure drawing.
