Description
Step into the spotlight this summer! Summer Spotlight is a one-week musical theatre intensive designed to ignite creativity, build confidence, and give young performers the experience of working with real industry professionals. Under the direction of Katherine Greer (Director & Choreographer) and Tim Cooper (Music Director), students will audition, rehearse, and perform a fully staged children’s musical—all in just five days.
Throughout the week, participants will explore every part of the process:
-Auditions with professional guidance to help every student shine
-Daily rehearsals in acting, singing, movement, and ensemble storytelling
-Small-group coaching in character work, vocal technique, and stage presence
-Fun theatre games and creativity workshops to keep energy high and imaginations open
-Collaborative ensemble building, emphasizing teamwork, kindness, and confidence
Parents will enjoy watching their young actors blossom, and students will feel the thrill of creating something together from the ground up. The intensive culminates in a fully staged performance at 2 PM on Friday, where family and friends are invited to celebrate the week’s accomplishments.
To keep our performers fueled and focused, daily snacks and a catered lunch are included.

*Enrollment must reach 15 participants to fund the addition of a Music Director. If less than 15 participants we will present a straight play rather than a musical.*
