DescriptionHello!
My name is Beth Jackson, I am the school social worker at Louise Archer ES and I am in the building on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The Spring Junior Optimist Community Service Club will meet 8:30-9:00 AM every Thursday starting February, 5th through June 4th.
There will not be meetings on January 29th and April 2nd!
Junior Optimist Club is terrific organization for kids committed to making a positive impact in their communities while developing leadership skills.
The club is open to 3rd through 6th grade students at Louise Archer.
Students will be able to participate in a variety of community service projects such as supporting our Food for Others weekend food bag program, sponsoring seasonal food drives, Pop Top collection and making snack/care kits for the Ronald McDonald house and the Lamb Center, blanket making for local family shelters, hygiene kits for the Embry Rucker shelter and other Fairfax County Family Shelters, and kindness initiatives for our school.
Through these activities, members learn the values of optimism, teamwork, and social responsibility.
The club operates under the guidance of our local Vienna Optimist Club.
Warmly, Beth Jackson
