Description
Stories shape our understandings of ourselves and the world around us– and in the Storyteller's Guild, we can practice shaping our own stories. No Thank You, Evil! is a game and storytelling exercise in which kids explore the fantasy realms of Storia and work together to solve problems that arise in the lives of their favorite characters. Great for kids who love to play pretend, tell a story, or with otherwise theatrical inclinations.

About the provider
As the events manager at Berkeley’s premiere board game café, a part-time paraeducator, and a local community organizer I am thrilled to bring my passion for story gaming into the classroom. Games teach us the function of rules, how to think ahead, and to work with others. Stories teach us how to think and talk about ourselves and the world around us. Storytelling games (also called tabletop RPGs), then, are a kid’s best tool for taking control of their own narrative and finding ways to build that world with their friends. Have a seat, grab a character sheet, and let our imaginations (and maybe some dice) do the rest!
