DescriptionStudents engage in all processes of cooking, including chopping, stirring sauteing, blending. All students are educated how to safely use a cerated knife and cutting board. This class is focused on vegetables, fruits and grains used to create dishes like Sushi, Won-Tons, Sweet Potato Soup, Tortillas with Beans, Hummus and more. Our goal is to encourage the consumption of vegetables, fruits and whole grains.. Students are more likely to sample unfamiliar foods once they play a part in preparing them. All recipes are provided and many families re-create them at home. We all eat together at the end of class. I use a light-hearted gentle approach which makes this a popular choice for your children.
