DescriptionGet ready to chop, stir, sauté, and create! In the Friday Cooking Club, students will explore the building blocks of great cooking while making delicious dishes together each week. From learning the difference between wet and dry heat to preparing simple stocks and flavorful sauces that form the backbone of countless recipes, young chefs will gain confidence in the kitchen and discover techniques they can use for a lifetime. Hands-on activities, teamwork, and plenty of tasting make this a fun and flavorful afterschool adventure.
Note: Students will participate in supervised kitchen activities that include handling ingredients, using basic cutting tools, and working near heat. A permission slip and allergy information are required upon registration so we can ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
