Description
We all know games like Monopoly, Sorry, and Uno - those are great! But since the late 1990s, there's been a revolution in the boardgames industry - there is so much more variety now.
In Modern Boardgames, we'll learn and play a host of newer games (see options below). Students will be able to choose from cooperative games, competitive games, 2-player games, 4-players games, even solo games.
We will emphasize playing the game in a positive way: good sportsmanship, knowing / following the rules, focusing on the game, playing at an appropriate volume level, etc. And also treating the games with respect, making sure all players clean up, etc.
Kids will naturally practice and develop their skills in reading, memorization, math, and strategizing, all in a fun social setting.
Some games that will be offered: Azul, Carcassonne, Lost Cities, Zombie Kidz, Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza, 7 Wonders, Duel, Push, Ticket to Ride, Lucuna, Kingdomino, and more (there are SO many!)
