Description
In this storytelling course, students explore fables, folktales, myths, tall tales, and legends from around the world and California. Each session highlights story structure, moral lessons, cultural traditions, and local lore through engaging read-alouds and lively discussions. Students also complete a hands-on art project tied to the tale, bringing home a creative keepsake each day. Aligned with Reading Literature, Speaking & Listening, Foundational Skills, and California Social Studies standards, this course blends stories, art, and conversation to inspire imagination, celebrate cultural traditions, and build a deeper appreciation for storytelling.
