Description
This class lays a fun foundation for learning Mandarin at the higher levels. A textbook is not used; the teacher teaches in themes primarily using simple crafts, rhymes, storytelling and games to engage students. Some of the themes explored in this class are Myself, My Family and My Friends. The idea is for students to get a feel for the language, and to immerse in the spoken language, without being conscious of the fact that they are learning.
This class is open to students who are enrolled in Piedmont Language School's Early Mandarin levels and also to new students who would like to give Mandarin a try.

What to bring
No supplies needed. All supplies will be provided for this activity.
Cancellation policy
Parents may cancel their student’s Mandarin session enrollment and receive a partial refund through the first two weeks of class starting. If a family cancels their Mandarin enrollment within this period, we will refund the tuition minus a per class cost of $30 (based on how many classes their student attended).

Piedmont Language School is committed to preparing and inspiring children for continued study, work and citizenship in our global community. We support, advocate and create opportunities for world language learning and cultural exposure.
Piedmont Language School is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded more than 40 years ago by Piedmont parents. We offer classes in Spanish and Mandarin to children TK thru 7th grade.
We offer Mandarin classes after school, and we offer Spanish classes before school, on-site at Piedmont Unified School District classrooms or other nearby locations.
