Wooly Wonders: A Felting Adventure for Creative Kids
Get ready to squish, swirl, knead, and poke your way through 10 weeks of fuzzy fun! In Wooly Wonders, students in Kindergarten through 5th grade will dive into the colorful, hands-on world of wool felting—turning soft, fluffy wool into magical handmade creations.
Each week, we’ll explore a new project like:
Bouncy wool balls
Silly felted creatures
Yummy-looking felted foods
Tiny gnome friends
Adorable felted animals
Cozy pumpkins, cute mushrooms, nature-inspired scenes, and even custom magnets and bookmarks
Along the way, we’ll practice social-emotional superpowers like patience, creativity, empathy, and self-expression. Whether we’re helping a new friend thread a needle or sharing how we felt (pun intended!) about a project, each session includes gentle SEL moments like mindful making, peer encouragement, and creative storytelling.
By the end of the session, kids will have a collection of one-of-a-kind woolly creations—and some new tools for building strong friendships and kind hearts.
