Description
Move Over, Jackie Chan! Over the course of this class, Tenchido Karate students will use their martial arts skills to develop and choreograph their own fight scenes and create their own Kung Fu movie masterpiece. Each 90 minute class session will be divided roughly in half, with the first half designated to practicing their martial arts techniques and developing fight choreography, and the second half spent learning the art of storytelling. Throughout the quarter, kids will utilize the literary devices of Character, Setting, Conflict, and Plot to tell their own story, which they will then film and edit into a Kung Fu movie short. On the last day, we will hold a premier for parents to see the finished movie. Please see this short documentary on the process: https://youtu.be/n4-ynXulBgQ ***IMPORTANT NOTE*** To enroll in this course you must either be currently enrolled in, or have previously completed at least one session of Tenchido Karate.
