Description
Make a set of TANS and set off into the world of shapes --making pictures! Tangrams is an ancient Chinese game that is still popular today. During the hour we will create your first set of TANS and learn basic shaping making strategies. A precursor to geometry and a useful exercise for space relationships, these picture pieces can be combined to stump the smartest in your home! Make a second set and have timed races for points. Best of all, the set is portable and can travel with you all summer!

Having taught preschoolers to high schoolers, I find working with young minds a pleasure. I love to explore with all forms of media! Teaching kids to discover their talents is exciting. Playing with science, language, math and art touches all the bases and allows kids to expand their horizons. Seeing their success and excitement inspires me to teach.
