Description
Back to school shopping has never been easier when you can make your own ensembles! Students are invited to learn a skill they will use for a lifetime and a hobby they will forever enjoy...sewing! No experience necessary for any child to learn the basics and beyond. New students will learn machine safety, beginner sewing techniques, and complete two prerequisite projects, while the more experienced students can expand on skills they already have. This class is student-led, and they advance at their own pace with autonomy over the projects they choose to create. Camps and classes are designed to teach children with both beginning and advanced skills. Projects rotate each session, and include seasonal tops and bottoms, bags and purses from tiny to extra large, and accessories to keep you feeling warm and looking cool! All supplies are included! *For all new sewers, the first class of the session is mandatory, please contact Chelsea Cook if your child is unable to attend*
What to bring

ESL Student Policy We are thrilled to welcome ESL (English as a Second Language) students into our programs and are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment for all learners. Because our classes involve hands-on tools, safety protocols, and detailed instructions, a certain level of English proficiency is required to ensure students can fully understand and follow safety guidelines. To keep all students safe and set them up for success: -Machine Sewing Classes: ESL students must have at least one year of ESL instruction before enrolling in machine sewing classes. This ensures they can confidently follow multi-step instructions and important safety procedures. -Hand Sewing Classes: ESL students must have at least six months of ESL instruction before enrolling in hand sewing classes, where safety needs are still essential but less complex than machine use.
