DescriptionSarah Bielecki (Longfellow School social worker) and Tess Weigel (Longfellow special education teacher) have over 20+ years of combined experience working with students of all abilities. They have joined forces to create a very special new offering for Longfellow students: a club that celebrates difference. In Unity Club, neurodiverse and neurotypical students (and everyone in between) come together and learn from one another through games and creative projects and group challenges. As a result, all students will practice important social skills, including executive functioning, collaboration, and leadership. Our goal is to create a program where every child feels seen, valued, and empowered to contribute—because we’re stronger when we work in unity.
