Description
Now in our third year at Cragmont, our drama program invites students to explore acting, storytelling, and self-expression in a fun, supportive space. Students will enjoy 13 classes and two exciting performances. Throughout the program, students will develop their skills and prepare for a practice performance earlier in the semester, as well as a final performance at the end of the session. To ensure success, students will need time at home to practice their parts. Parental support is strongly encouraged to help students stay on track, and we ask families to commit to seeing the program through. What Students Will Learn: Our classes teach essential theater skills, including: Memorizing lines with confidence and ease Understanding stage directions and terminology Using their voice effectively and projecting clearly Exploring and embodying characters Collaborating as an ensemble Moving with confidence on stage Following stage directions and adapting to changes Each session incorporates theater games, skits, monologues, and scene work, focusing on key acting fundamentals such as: Projection and articulation Dramatic movement Improvisation skills Our ultimate goal is to foster self-expression, teamwork, and confidence in every student. Parent Participation and Communication: To ensure the program runs smoothly, we ask parents to communicate any planned absences in advance so rehearsals can be adjusted accordingly. While we aim to keep communications minimal, parents are expected to stay informed through class updates. Additional Notes: No prior experience is necessary to join, and all-black attire is the standard dress for performances. This structured and engaging program is designed to support students as they explore the world of drama and performance. We are excited to welcome your child to this creative journey and look forward to seeing them shine on stage!

About the provider
We Teach Our Students basic theater skills by helping them bring stories to life.
Our drama program is thoughtfully designed to introduce students to the art of acting, storytelling, and self-expression. Throughout the course, students will build their skills and work toward a final performance at the end of the program. To ensure success, students will need time at home to practice their parts. Parental support is strongly encouraged to help students stay on track, and we ask families to commit to seeing the program through. Once roles are assigned, students are expected to follow through with their commitment to the class. We kindly ask parents to ensure their child has a genuine interest in the program before enrolling, as quitting after parts are distributed can disrupt the ensemble's progress. Additionally, there is a required survey that must be completed by both parents and students before registration is finalized. Students whose surveys are incomplete will not be able to participate. Additional Notes: No prior experience is necessary to join, and all-black attire is the standard dress for performances. This structured and engaging program is designed to support students as they explore the world of drama and performance. We are excited to welcome your child to this creative journey and look forward to seeing them shine on stage!
