Description
During this course, students will get the opportunity to design and construct whimsical runway looks inspired by different candies, confections and delectable treats!
Participants will “shop” from a wide variety of fabulous fabrics and trims; create concept sketches based upon their inspiration, AND work 1-on-1 with fashion designer/instructor “Miss Reese” to bring their sweet visions to life!
*We will be using a variety of machine and hand sewing techniques in this class.
*Designers will be provided with a fashion sketchbook to collect inspiration and generate design ideas.

NOTE: This course culminates in a “Candy Land” runway show directly following our final class session and you are all invited to come out and celebrate your young designers on the runway!!! The show lasts an average of 20 minutes and usually takes place directly outside our workroom. Look for a reminder email about a week before runway day. ;)

Cancellation policy
Miss Reese Fashion Club honors the policies set by each school’s enrichment team. No refunds once the class is in session with some exceptions. Refunds do not include credit card processing fees, pta fees or supply fees.

About the provider
Miss Reese Fashion Club (MRFC) is a Fashion Design Education program based out of West Seattle, with a primary focus of providing quality fashion education for young designers, ages 6-12. MRFC was established in the summer of 2014 when Owner/Designer/Instructor, Maresa Cogger, “Miss Reese” decided to ditch the corporate fashion world of LA and return home to Seattle, WA to try her hand at teaching. What began as a modest summer camp for elementary age students, has since grown to include a variety of art, design and sewing opportunities, including: Fashion for Teens, Summer Camps, Holiday Camps, Runway Shows, Weekend Workshops, Birthday Parties, Adult Sewing & Design Courses, and Private Lessons!
