DescriptionIn Build & Code: Piper Computer Lab, students become young tech innovators as they build a real computer from the ground up using the award-winning Piper Computer Kit. This hands-on STEM enrichment class introduces students to the fundamentals of computer hardware, circuitry, and coding—all through an engaging, project-based approach.
Each student will assemble their own Piper computer, learning how components like microprocessors, screens, buttons, and power sources work together. Once built, the adventure continues with Piper’s interactive, story-driven coding challenges that teach basic programming using Blockly and Python.
This class is perfect for curious minds who love to build, explore, and tinker. It provides a unique opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of how technology works—while developing critical 21st-century skills in a fun, collaborative environment.
