Description
This is where young minds explore the exciting world of art + design thinking! Through engaging art activities, students will learn to think outside the box, visualize their ideas, and express themselves creatively. Throughout the course, students will delve into the fundamentals of design thinking—a powerful approach used by designers, engineers, and innovators worldwide to tackle complex challenges and create innovative solutions. Taught by an expert in the field, students will learn to empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test, the core pillars of design thinking.
Our course is Radically Student Centered, depending on interest and skill level, the curriculum MAY include a combination of the following:
• Design Thinking Fundamentals: Understand the principles of empathy, problem definition, ideation, prototyping, and testing.
• Product Design: Explore the process of designing physical products, from brainstorming ideas to creating prototypes with everyday materials.
• Digital Design: Learn the basics of digital design, including user interface (UI) design and user experience (UX) design, using fun and interactive tools.
• Art Integration: Infuse art into the design process, learning how to sketch ideas, create mood boards, and visually communicate concepts.
• Collaboration and Communication: Develop teamwork skills as students work together to solve challenges and present their ideas to the class.

Cancellation policy
COURSE CANCELLATION
Although course cancellation at SPARKOLOGIE (aka Picassos @ Play) is quite rare, PARKOLOGIE (aka Picassos @ Play) reserves the right to cancel classes or change instructor assignments and makes every effort to notify students in advance. If enrollment goals are not met, a
course may be cancelled up to 48 hours before the first scheduled class. In a rare case a class is cancelled by a third party (ie. Parks & Recreation), a refund will be given through their standard policy and practice. It is possible a third party (ie. Parks & Recreation), will push back a start-date if enrollment goals are not met. In this instance, please refer to their course cancellation policies.
