Description
Little learners develop early literacy skills through interactive storytelling, songs, and playful activities in nature. We'll practice letter sounds while crunching through leaves, sing alphabet songs during nature walks, and create simple stories about the creatures we meet. Children build language confidence through movement, music, and hands-on exploration.
Each half-day includes plenty of movement, songs, art activities, and free play time – all essential for preschool learning. Children can attend one, two, or all three days to complement their home learning routine. We maintain a nurturing environment that supports social skills and emotional development while introducing early academic concepts through play-based learning.
What to bring
No supplies needed. All supplies will be provided for this activity.
Cancellation policy
To provide the best possible experience, deposits are used to plan and secure staff for our school and camp seasons.
For this reason, all deposits up to 50% are non-refundable.
Additional Policies:
Homeschool Program: We work hard to meet the needs of each age group, and spend much time intentionally staffing so that each child is well-supported when they are here. For this reason, the days you register for are not transferrable.
Camp: If you do need to cancel due to illness, we are happy to apply your balance to a future program, available camp week, after school club, or school vacation week program.

A Pre-K Through 8 Farm & Forest School, Summer Camp, and Homeschool Program
Wildwood Acres Farm & Forest School is an independent school and summer camp that provides a unique educational experience for children from Pre-K through Grade 8, as well as summer camps and a supplemental homeschool program available Tuesday through Thursday. By immersing students in nature, Wildwood makes academics fun, fosters a deep connection with the environment, and promotes social development and personal growth. Students engage in real-world problem-solving, develop teamwork skills, learn respect for all life, and cultivate a sense of responsibility, all while challenging their endurance and connecting with the natural world.
