Description
EDS students are invited to audition for Augusta University’s spring Theatre AUG production of Wishtree, adapted and directed by Melanie O’Meara. Auditions will be held at EDS on January 23 from 3-4 p.m. No preparation is necessary. Potential roles include animals and children and the recitation of a poem to start the production. Animal roles will likely be double cast, so EDS student performers would be in up to 3 of the 6 shows. Several roles will likely be played by a different child each night to limit the obligation and provide opportunities for more students. If cast, rehearsals will be held at EDS on Thursdays from 3-4 p.m. January 30, February 6, 13, 20, 27. EDS students will be required to attend some evening and weekend rehearsals at the Maxwell Theatre March 3-10 (schedule will be determined once the show is cast; EDS students will not be required to be there every night). The show runs March 11 & 12 at 10 a.m.. March 13-15 at 7 p.m., and March 16 at 3 p.m. Please note: A guardian will be required to bring and stay with their child at rehearsals and shows once we move to the Maxwell Theatre.
