What to bringA World of Art Materials List: Construction paper: 1 pack Tru-ray 9x12” assorted colors Drawing paper or sketch book 9x12” *Gouache (student grade if they have it) or watercolor set Black tempera paint or acrylic paint Watercolor brushes in a variety of sizes (one size (1) for miniature paintings) Bamboo round sumi brush (any size will do) Foam brush 1” Colored pencils Markers Sharpies (1 fine point and 1 ultra fine point) Gel pens or at least a white one Pair of scissors Glue sticks White glue such as Elmers Cardboard cereal box or similar Brown paper bag Cups for water and paper plates or foil for paint if you’ve bought paint in tubes. Paper towels for cleaning up. *Gouache is opaque watercolor paint that comes in little tubes and is a little more gratifying to use. However, it can be expensive. Sometimes you can find a student set that’s reasonably priced. Otherwise the traditional watercolor set that comes in a pan will be fine for our purposes. You may already have some of these supplies at your house. If not, I am hoping these are supplies your child will be able to use over and over again, as I will be striving to give them inspiration and methods for doing so. See you soon!
