Morning Session (9 AM - Noon)
Summer is the perfect time for adventures! In this summer camp you will learn how to build and play characters you create! The first day you will learn the basics of how to play and build your character. The rest of the week will be spent playing a full campaign or two as time allows. D&D is super fun if you love role playing games, where you get to make the choices, but be forewarned those choices affect the outcome of the campaign!
This camp is appropriate for D&D players of all levels. The instructor will go over how to create a character and play on the first day. Previous experience not required. This camp will take place mostly indoors.
About the campaign: Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaos introduces the fantastical setting of Strixhaven University to Dungeons & Dragons, drawn from the multiverse of Magic: The Gathering. The greatest minds in the multiverse meet at Strixhaven University. Characters can explore the setting over the course of four adventures. Each describes an academic year filled with scholarly pursuits, campus shenanigans, exciting friendships, hidden dangers, conveying fantastic secrets to eager students, and life on campus is frenetic. But danger lurks even here. Campus hijinks mix with mishaps and sinister plots, and it’s up to you to save the day!
This camp will take place mostly indoors.
About the instructor:
Elizabeth Moir is a middle school science teacher, in her 3rd year, here at Oak Hill. She is a huge fan of roleplaying and fantasy games. She has been a Dungeon Master for 2 years with two groups of her friends. One of those groups has her own 7th grader in it too! Her goal is for you to learn about D&D, but most importantly, have fun!
