Description
Aspiring young film makers discover the art & science of film and animation as they learn the filming technique in which objects are photographed in a series of slightly different positions so that the objects seem to move. Using Mini Figures (like Pokémon, Star Wars and Lego MiniFigs), ZU3D software and webcams, create your own video full of action and suspense, learn storyboard techniques, character development, film angles, lighting, special effects, and methods to add titles and rolling credits. The last day of class have your own FILM FESTIVAL!
Take home: your own ZU3D Stop Motion Animation Kit: software licenses, webcam, green screen, modeling clay, mini-set background, and handbook. A flash drive for a student’s video creations is included.

No supplies needed. All supplies will be provided for this activity.
Cancellation policy
Once class starts, there is no refund and no refund for students missing classes due to trips or illness. If Art Explorers cancels a class, it will either be made up or reimbursed.

Art Explorers/Terrific Scientific offers art, engineering, and science afterschool classes and summer camps for Kindergarten-9th grades. We offer a hands-on, minds-on, challenging STEAM program for girls and boys that lays the foundation for innovative minds and design thinkers of the future through science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). Throughout the year, students learn the fundamentals of inquiry-based learning: discover, investigate, design, create and evaluate.
