JA bilingual theater and art program

Join us for a bilingual summer theater and art adventure in creativity, Spanish language learning, playwriting and performance! Using our imaginations to guide us, we will practice our Spanish language skills through games, songs, rhymes and role-playing. We will create our own colorful characters, build paper-mache masks, sets and costumes, and work together to create a short play in Spanish and English to perform at the end of the session. Prior experience with Spanish is very helpful, but not required. All levels and learners are welcome!

¡Únete a nosotros en una aventura veraniega de creatividad, aprendizaje del español, dramaturgia y actuación! Utilizaremos nuestra imaginación como guía y practicaremos nuestro español a través de juegos, canciones, rimas y juegos de rol. Crearemos nuestros propios personajes y construiremos máscaras, decorados y disfraces de papel maché. Trabajaremos juntos para crear una pequeña obra de teatro en español e inglés que representaremos al final de la sesión. La experiencia previa con el español es muy útil, pero no es necesaria. ¡Todos los niveles y estudiantes son bienvenidos!

What to bring
A supplies list including proper attire and lunch/snack recommendations will be sent by the camp directors. Hartsbrook camps are nut free.
Cancellation policy
For 2025 Summer Programs and Camps: You may cancel your enrollment by May 15, 2025 to receive all but a $25 administrative fee by emailing summerprograms@hartsbrook.org with your request. If you cancel after May 15, 2025, no refund is available unless there is a waiting list for the session you are cancelling. Our camp sessions are booked months in advance. Our staffing and preparation for camp begins in the early spring. We cannot provide refunds for absent or sick days, family emergencies, or unexpected vacations.
For 2025-2026 School Year Programs: Please contact the Auxiliary Program Manager to request a cancellation for any Athletics or After-School program at auxiliaryprograms@hartsbrook.org. Individual program policies will be shared upon request and at the start of all sessions.
