Hello Parents,
My name is Robert Yu and I am a Hip-Hop/Urban Dance Instructor from Piedmont, CA.
I am a recent UC Berkeley Graduate (2018) and I majored in Integrative Biology.
I found my love for dance when I entered Piedmont High school, and have since led various
college level dance teams at UC Berkeley, taught workshops all across the Bay Area, and taught
my first international dance classes last summer. I currently teach Bi-weekly classes at In the Groove Studios, a local studio in Oakland.
I attended Havens from 2001-2007 and enjoyed my experience there. I am looking forward to teaching hip hop dance to students at Havens. This introductory hip hop class will be a fun way to learn more about dancing and grooving. I will be emphasizing having fun, but also teaching important core principles of hip hop/urban dancing.
