Description
The Mechanics' Institute Chess Club is the oldest chess club in the United States and has a rich history and legacy. Our goal for our enrichment program is to inspire students to play and develop while making learning fun. We will create a positive team dynamics in the classroom to support learning at all levels, from beginner to advanced. Our students learn to improve their chess, but they also learn valuable life lessons such as sportsmanship, learning from mistakes, and winning and losing with grace.
