Description
YG, Bay Area Speech and Debate Academy's renowned and Western Association School and Colleges (WASC) accredited instructors will meet with the students for a weekly 60 minutes class.
Students will engage in live debates with their peers as they learn how to structure their arguments, write persuasively, think critically, and present their viewpoints in the most optimal and organized manner. Students will be introduced to Congressional format of debate which simulates the U.S. Congress and debates issues of current interest.
Students will also learn how to speak confidently in front of an audience of any size and how to optimally use their voice and body in order to do so.
No prior experience in speech and debate is necessary.
Also, students will have the opportunity to compete at fully interactive online speech and debate tournaments, where students will be able to apply all of the concepts that they will learn in the classroom (tournaments are for a minimal additional fee).
Students will be added to Bay Area Speech and Debate Academy's virtual school, where they will have 24/7 access to a multitude of resources and be able to communicate with the instructor throughout the week.

YG, Bay Area Speech and Debate Academy is a Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) accredited educational institution that focuses on developing debate and presentation skills among children and teens through classes and speech and debate tournaments/competitions.
For over 10 years through speech and debate training we have been raising national intellectual elite who are becoming strong advocates of our planet’s most pressing environmental and safety problems.
In speech and debate classes students develop skills that are necessary for them to be successful in school college and life. Students learn how to do research, persuasive speaking and writing, active listening, critical thinking, and cross-examination, and become confident presenters.
Based on 50 years of experience in education, we believe that speech and debate is the single most valuable skill students can acquire in school and that this skill is transferrable to any desired career. Bay Area Speech and Debate Academy focuses specifically on developing debate skills among youths and is one of the strongest divisions within the school
