My name is Laureen Hartman, I'm a SBS aide here at Bryan school and I’m so excited to lead this after-school Cricut enrichment class for students in grades 2 through 4! I have a passion for creativity, hands-on learning, and helping kids bring their ideas to life. I enjoy using the Cricut cutting machine because it combines art, technology, and imagination all in one! From custom stickers and paper crafts to T-shirts and bookmarks, there’s no limit to what we can make together! I can’t wait to see what your child will create!

DescriptionCelebrate the holiday season with a fun and festive Cricut craft! In this creative session, students will design and decorate their very own holiday acrylic ornaments using colorful adhesive vinyl! We’ll use the Cricut machine to cut out the vinyl designs, then help students apply them to clear acrylic ornament blanks for a beautiful, handmade holiday keepsake! Each student will leave with a sparkling ornament ready to hang on the tree or give as a gift to someone special!

In this hands-on session, students will use the Cricut machine to make their very own turkey place cards or table decorations using colorful cardstock! Students will learn how to choose shapes, layer pieces, and assemble a cute paper turkey that can be used to decorate the table! Each student will go home with a gobble-worthy Thanksgiving decoration they made all by themselves!

Spooky Halloween Bags

DescriptionGet ready for some frightfully fun crafting! In this Halloween-themed session, students will use the Cricut machine to create their own spooky trick-or-treat bags—complete with glow-in-the-dark designs! Kids will choose from a variety of fun and spooky shapes like pumpkins, ghosts, bats, and black cats—or even design their own! Using special glow-in-the-dark iron-on vinyl, students will use the Cricut machine to cut their designs and safely press them onto reusable fabric bags. Once finished, their custom bags will glow in the dark—perfect for trick-or-treating at night or carrying Halloween goodies. Every child will leave with a one-of-a-kind Halloween bag that’s ready for the big night!

Each child will get to choose fun shapes, colors, letters, and images to decorate and make into a one-of-a-kind case! Students will use Cricut Design Space to create their custom name or artwork, then watch as the Cricut machine cuts out their design using a special vinyl. This activity blends creativity with beginner tech skills, helping kids explore design, color choices, and self-expression. Everyone will leave with a pencil case that's uniquely theirs—perfect for school supplies or treasures!
