Origami Mami“Experienced and inspiring teacher who is passionate about sharing her love of Origami with students of all ages!”Join the Origami Mami and unfold the secrets of paper-folding! Origami is a fun and unique art form popularized in Japan. Origami engages a multitude of the physical senses including visual, tactile and auditory. It even serves as a conduit for learning basic math and geometry concepts! In class, the students will learn how to fold beginner to low intermediate level Origami models such as animals, plants/flowers, landscapes, geometric shapes and much, much more! The finished Origami models are then integrated into a 3-D display piece where the children have the opportunity to learn a little about design elements and general paper crafting techniques!
