Happy Feet Kids Classes“Providing Specialty classes in Schools and Recreation Centers since 1994” Happy Feet Kids Classes would love to offer a specialty class at your preschool, elementary school or recreation center during the school year, or a week long camp over the Summer or any holiday break! Laura Schifferli, the founder and manager of HFKids started teaching in Southern California in the early 90s under her first business name of The Happy Feet School of Dance, and since then has broadened her class offerings to over 20 different styles of classes, with the list ever growing :) Laura has taken HFKids nationally, currently offering classes in California and North Carolina, and has begun to offer teacher trainings in suburb and metropolitan areas throughout the U.S. Contact Laura at happyfeetkids.net@gmail.com for more information!

Tiny Tot Jamboree

DescriptionTiny Tot Jamboree classes include child sized rhythm instruments, stories, gym- nastic mats, floor balance beams and fun props for you and your children to play and dance with. We will find the beat, sing, tumble through obstacle courses and dance together as the children strengthen their gross motor skills and musical minds through play! Care- giver must attend. Ages 1.5-2.5yrs

Big Bubble Flow Arts and Tumbling

DescriptionThis unique and entertaining class will have children shouting “More Please!” Our students are introduced to multiple flow art props, including hula hoops, poi, streamers, scarfs, fans, staffs, and more! Yes, they will learn tricks with each of these toys, but more importantly will learn how to find and maintain flow with them. The important life lesson of finding more ease if we “go with the flow,” is demonstrated through play, and helps children to understand this concept in their bodies. Each class will also include a section of beginning tumbling and end with creating awe-some big bubbles outside! Join Ms. Kitti, a Bay Area Flow Arts Performer and Children’s Entertainer in this one of a kind class of finding joy through flowing!

Creative Dance and Improvisation

DescriptionCreative dance synthesizes all different styles of dance. No technique is required as students are encouraged to create their own dance personalities and choreography. Be warned though, participating in our class may very well inspire your child to enter the world of formalized dance technique :) Creative dance helps us to develop kinesthetic intelligence(an understanding of our bodies and their parts as related to your surroundings), and enables us to get in touch with how our bodies move. The elements of creative dance focus on the concepts of Space, Time, Force and Movement and how we can manipulate these concepts to move in particular ways. We will also focus on body awareness, balance, muscle and bone strength, flexibility, balance, and more. Creative dance is a ton of fun for ALL ages!

Pop Hip-Hop and Tumbling

DescriptionThis high energy class begins with a warm-up /stretch, then moves on to teach hip-hop dance combinations to kid friendly pop songs of the day, and finishes with free movement and tumbling. Tumbling will include simple rolls, head/hand stands, and back bends, all of which are useful tools in the hip-hop genre. Please join us in the fun!

DescriptionHappy Kids Softball/Baseball classes are designed to inspire your child to live an active, healthy life! We will instill in your child a love for sports while increasing their awareness of the importance of eating a healthy diet, stretching daily and working as a team :) Our class will begin with a cardio section that gets everyone's blood pumping, followed by stretching which will include some age specific yoga. After we've warmed up we'll focus on ball handling including hand-eye coordination games, swinging posture and technique, relays and teamwork building.
