Our experienced instructors will guide students through beginner tricks like ollies, shove-its, kickturns, manuals, and drop-ins. They'll also master essential techniques such as stance and balance, pushing and stopping, turning and carving, and skate park safety and etiquette. Whether your child is a complete beginner or looking to refine their skills, our program is designed to cater to all levels. By the end of the course, students will have a solid foundation in skateboarding and the confidence to continue progressing. Treasures of the Tides: Join us on an exhilarating journey through the enchanting realms of the Santa Barbara Channel. From uncovering the secrets of local history and marine life to unleashing your artistic brilliance with Gyotaku fish printing, algea pressing, and salt clay creations, every session is a captivating blend of learning, adventure, and hands-on fun. Whether you're brand new or already rolling, our expert instructors will guide you through safety, balance, tricks, and creative skills like ramp riding, push racing, tarp surfing, and even skate art! No gear? No problem—all equipment is provided, including helmets, boards, pads, ramps, and rails. Along the way, kids build confidence, coordination, and friendships as they challenge themselves, cheer each other on, and celebrate progress together. Fun prizes and surprises keep the energy high—come join the movement! No experience needed. Just bring closed-toe shoes and a ready-to-ride attitude!

Our crew of experienced skaters keeps it fun and progression-focused, with a 1:4 coach-to-skater ratio so you get plenty of one-on-one tips. From first push to first kickflip, we’ve got you covered. Bonus: If you’re in Santa Barbara Unified, our program qualifies for Independent Study PE (ISPE) credit, so you can rack up your PE hours while actually doing something you love. All you need is your board, helmet, and stoke.

DescriptionAt Lobster Jo's Beach Camp participants will enjoy beach themed arts & crafts, exciting games and ocean activities. Friendly sand castle contests, MEGA SUP rides, and a beach party karaoke. So come and meet your neighbors, make new friends, and learn about ocean stewardship at beautiful Goleta Beach, Santa Barbara. Sunshine, good times and loads of laughter await! All Camp Counselors are CPR/First Aid certified. The counselor to camper ratio is 1:7. Campers will be grouped by age and parent requests on the first day of camp.
