Soccer Stars + Kickball
by Kathryn Allen
Description12-Week Afterschool Soccer Stars & Kickball Program Our 12-week afterschool program is the perfect way for kids to stay active, build skills, and have fun with friends after the school day ends. The season is split into two engaging parts—6 weeks of Soccer Stars followed by 6 weeks of Kickball Stars—giving kids the chance to experience two exciting sports in one session. We will break our players up by grade for the soccer portion of the program (TK-1st and 2nd-5th). Weeks 1–6: Soccer Stars During the first half of the program, players will learn the “ABCs” of athletic development—Agility, Balance, and Coordination—through fun, age-appropriate soccer games. Each week builds on the last as kids practice dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork. Along the way, they’ll develop listening skills, confidence, and sportsmanship in a non-competitive, supportive environment. Weeks 7–12: Kickball Stars In the second half, we keep the energy high with kickball—a playground classic that kids love! Players will learn the rules of the game, how to kick for distance, field with confidence, and work as a team to score runs. Kickball not only strengthens coordination and agility, but also reinforces collaboration, strategic thinking, and fair play. Why Families Love It Parents appreciate our well-structured, coach-led environment that blends skill-building with plenty of laughter and movement. Kids love that every week brings new games, challenges, and opportunities to connect with friends. And because we focus on both physical skills and life skills, families see their children becoming more confident, active, and engaged—both on and off the field. This program isn’t just about playing two sports—it’s about giving kids a safe, fun space to move, grow, and shine. We offer a 15% sibling discount! The 2nd child gets 15% off the season price. Please email me at contracosta@soccerstars.com if this applies to your family.

Fall 2025 Afterschool
by Kathryn Allen
DescriptionWe’re thrilled to bring our beloved Super Soccer Stars program back to Sequoia students this Fall! Whether your child is just starting their soccer journey or looking to build on existing skills, our afterschool program offers the perfect balance of learning, play, and personal growth. *This will be an hour and a half class instead of an hour like previous years, so that is why the price is slightly higher.* At Soccer Stars, we do more than just teach the game—we help kids fall in love with it. Our experienced coaches create a fun, energetic, and supportive environment where players develop real soccer skills, make friends, and build confidence that goes beyond the field. What Makes Soccer Stars the Best? -Age-Specific Groups: We divide our program into two groups—Kindergarten–2nd grade and 3rd–5th grade—to ensure each child is learning at their own pace, with instruction that’s just right for their developmental level. -Low Coach-to-Player Ratio: With a maximum 10:1 player-to-coach ratio, every child receives individualized attention and instruction, helping them progress no matter their starting point. -Expert Coaches Who Get Kids: Our coaches aren’t just great players—they’re also trained in child development and know how to meaningfully connect with kids, boost their confidence, and keep them engaged. From dribbling and passing to shooting, defending, and working as a team—kids learn, improve, and grow every session. -Skill Progression with Purpose: Each class is designed to build on the previous one, introducing soccer fundamentals while improving agility, coordination, teamwork, and game awareness in a way that feels like play—not pressure. -Kids Love It (and Keep Coming Back!): Our program is fun, fresh, and different from other afterschool options because we focus on progress, not perfection—which is why so many kids return season after season to keep sharpening their skills. A Season to Remember: On the final day of class, we’ll host an exciting Soccer Stars Jamboree where families are invited to cheer on their child during a friendly game. Each player will receive a medal and certificate to celebrate their hard work, progress, and sportsmanship throughout the season. Whether your child is new to soccer or dreams of playing like a pro, our Soccer Stars afterschool program is the perfect way to kick-start (or continue) their love of the game in a setting that’s positive, purposeful, and a whole lot of fun. Spots fill quickly—don’t miss out!

Super Soccer Stars Fall 2024
by Kathryn Allen
DescriptionAt Soccer Stars, we use the soccer ball as the vehicle to help children improve their soccer skills, build self-confidence in the game of soccer and life, and learn what it means to be a good teammate both on and off the field. Our curriculum was developed by early childhood educators and soccer professionals. Our structured 60-minute classes teach soccer FUNdamentals through imagination and play--each class has a theme (i.e. the beach, outer space, race track) which makes learning fun! Our coaches are patient and a ton of fun; they not only love working with children, but also enjoy developing these skills in a nurturing and non-competitive environment! In our younger age groups, the primary focus is body movement with the ball. Your child will be introduced to juggling, concepts of teammates and teamwork, and other skill-building activities that work on dribbling techniques, shooting, turning with the ball, defending, and other moves that promote confidence with the ball. In our older age groups, players will improve their creative capacity through technical skill development and small-sided games. This allows for freedom of expression with the ball—a vital concept is emphasized with the introduction of 1v1 dribbling and defending games. The addition of opponents allows the player to make decisions under pressure. High repetition ball control activities help each player become more proficient with the ball. *Supply fee includes a Super Soccer Stars Jersey for your child and medal at the end of the season!
