DescriptionAfter School at Powhatan (ASAP) child care is available for students who attend Powhatan. Students may be registered to attend on a regular schedule or as needed by notifying the front office by 2 pm. ASAP is available from 3:30-5:30 pm. at both a daily (drop-in) rate and an annual rate. A late fee of $5 per minute is applied after 5:30 pm. Per Auxiliary Programs Policy, if a student is picked up late more than 3 times in a year, that student will no longer be eligible to attend. If you are going to be late please contact extension (3300) to notify the Auxiliary Programs staff. Students will participate in group activities, work on homework assignments, and play outdoors when weather permits.

Creative Art Studio

DescriptionOpen to grades 1-3, each week we will tackle a different arts and crafts theme. Week 1 we will dive into acrylic paints, learn how to mix different colors, and create an acrylic landscape painting. Week 2 we will model clay animals, and make a few magnets to bring home from our clay creations. Week 3 We'll learn to work with watercolor paints and do watercolor florals with the students. Week 4, We'll learn to use jewelry making tools and create charm and bead jewelry. Week 5 Will be a culminating week to free paint, and add any finishing touches to our wonderful projects.
