Create with LEGO + Technic parts, test until it works, then get teacher input on why. Session spotlights animals and machines that spin or lift—like grip-rolling alligators or towering elevators. Lando is a WASC-accredited, STEM award-winning program.

Building with Clay: Fiction from Around the World (Lando)

DescriptionPinch, coil, and sculpt tiny worlds to life. Choose from a menu of ten brand-new sculpture ideas each class—from ramen stands to coral reefs—with teachers modeling key steps one-on-one. Start simple, then level up by breaking-down complicated characters, adding texture, and getting sizing just right. Arrange the characters, foods, and places at the end of class to stage a themed scene that you can also take home. For Families: Kids build real art foundations—decomposing forms, color theory, composition—based on techniques taught at the Rhode Island School of Design. You’ll receive sign-in/sign-out texts to know your artist is safe.

Mini-Game Builders with Lando

DescriptionCode a multi-level mini-games every class—maze racers, platformers, pet simulators—then level up with new coding ideas taught daily. You’ll use Lando’s Scratch-based app on an iPad, so your teachers can guide just-right quests—no one should get stuck or bored. This session dives into ocean games like Reef Runner, Jelly Jumper, Cleanup Quest. Playtest your mini-game with friends—can they beat it?—and get a link to keep coding at home. For Families: Students learn core computer science concepts (e.g. variables, conditionals, events) in Lando’s WASC-accredited, STEM award-winning program. You’ll receive sign-in/sign-out texts for peace of mind.

After each class, we’ll send photos of the characters and worlds your child has built, so you can celebrate their progress and spark conversations about what they’re learning. Plus, they’ll bring home their finished sculptures to show off! * Stretching Creative Muscles In Each Class. With up to ten new projects per session, your child will continually stretch their artistic abilities. Every class revolves around different themes and stories—making for a fun, collaborative environment with friendly games along-the-way. * In Good Hands. We text you when your storytelling sculpter safely arrives, send detailed reminders before each session, and use a digital sign-out process for approved adults. Each class features progressively challenging levels of a distinct engineering problem, like building domes that withstand asteroids, designing air cannons to launch circus performers, or creating air filters to remove debris. Plus, we regularly share class learnings and photos of each student’s creations with families after class.
