Creative Sculpting

DescriptionThis course promotes imagination, creativity, and art production. It explores formal concerns of composition, materials, and scale, as well as issues related to content, meaning, and interpretation, and their application to both words and images. Students begin by making smaller three-dimensional works and progress toward larger, more complex individual projects. Children will work with a wide range of materials, including clay, wood blocks, cardboards, found objects, and discarded materials. They will also explore works by sculptors including Louise Nevelson, Suzanne Duchamp, Hanna Hoch, Joseph Cornell, Isa Genzken, and other contemporary artists pushing the boundaries. Children of Bisheh is a group of artists, scientists, architects, musicians, & designers who share the passion of teaching creativity-based art & science programs to children.

DescriptionIn this class, students will explore the creative intersection of art and statistics. They will learn to gather, analyze, and interpret data to create art projects that reflect real-world issues and experiences. Through a combination of hands-on art projects and statistical analysis, students will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and artistic skills. Statistics on spread of Corona virus, or population of teenagers throughout years, we will turn many numbers into Art. Art is the great communicator and in this class students will explore how they can take information and turn it into visual artistic representations of the information making the data come alive. Both 2D and 3D representations will be explored.
