Hindi Class
by BCA
DescriptionHindi Class, in our Hindi enrichment class, we are going to explore the beautiful Indian culture and learn the Hindi language in a fun and interactive way! Our learning journey will begin with introducing ourselves in Hindi, where kids will practice saying their names, how old they are, and how to greet others in Hindi (e.g., "नमस्ते" for hello, "मेरा नाम [name] है" for "My name is [name]"). This will help them feel comfortable using Hindi in everyday situations. We will also dive into the world of colors and shapes in Hindi. Children will learn the names of colors like लाल (red), नीला (blue), and पीला (yellow), as well as shapes such as गोल (circle), वर्ग (square), and त्रिकोण (triangle). This will help them identify and describe objects around them using simple Hindi words. Next, we’ll explore the world of numbers in Hindi, starting with numbers 1 to 5 (e.g., एक, दो, तीन). The children will engage in fun activities like counting objects, singing songs, and playing games to practice these numbers. We will also learn about the days of the week in Hindi. Each day, we’ll introduce a new day of the week, such as सोमवार (Monday), मंगलवार (Tuesday), and so on, helping the kids understand the sequence and significance of the days. To make our learning even more exciting, we’ll have story time in Hindi. Simple and engaging Hindi stories will help kids listen, understand, and connect with the language. Some of the stories may include animals, family members, or folk tales from Indian culture. These stories will not only teach vocabulary but also values and cultural traditions. We’ll also sing Hindi rhymes to make learning fun! Rhymes like "चाँद तारों से" or "एक दो तीन चार" will help children become familiar with the rhythm and sounds of the language, improving their listening and speaking skills. As part of our language learning, we’ll introduce some Hindi vowels (e.g., अ, आ, इ) and a few simple Hindi words (e.g., बिल्ली for cat) to build the children’s vocabulary. They’ll practice recognizing, reading, and even writing these letters and words in creative ways through drawing, coloring, and hands-on activities. Through these fun activities, children will not only begin to understand the Hindi language but also gain an appreciation for the rich and diverse Indian culture. By the end of the course, they will be able to introduce themselves in Hindi, recognize colors, shapes, and numbers, and feel more confident in using Hindi in their daily life!
