Nicole Ross is a certified teacher that has taught for over 15 years. She is currently teaching sixth grade social studies and language arts in Maryland. Nicole’s teaching philosophy centers around her belief that educators must provide students with a safe space to push against their own boundaries. Every student needs different levels of support and she is there to support students as they learn what they are capable of.
Nicole was featured as National Geographic’s Educator of the Week in 2017 and discussed the experience of hosting a day dedicated to helping students spend time outdoors cataloging species in their local communities.
