Description
MATH ADVENTURES: This class will help you to practice elementary math concepts through games, songs, stories and art. We will travel to the fictional land of Mathopotamia where we will let our imagination set sail as we study geometry, addition and subtraction, multiplication, number sense, place value, money, telling time and more. We will play games such as SET and Number Bingo. We will do original songs that I wrote as well as picture books and songs written by others. We will create an original musical called Mathopotamia. Students of all math abilities are welcomed. We will make sure the class is low key and fun for all. Parents will also be given some additional optional math activities they can do before/after class each day.

Massachusetts Teacher of the Year 2015 Finalist
Hello, I am Daniel. I am a father of two and have over 18+ years of teaching second grade in a public school setting. As an educator, I have experience working with students of all learning and language needs. As a director for a theater camp for 15+ years, I love to leverage stories, acting games, and songs to make my classes interactive, fun and learning filled! In addition to teaching, I have experience tutoring K-Adult and served as a teacher mentor to other teachers. Like my students, I too am a practitioner of learning and have 2 Master's Degrees in Education. I am also a certified literacy specialist and math specialist. In 2015 I was also honored as a Massachusetts Teacher of the Year Finalist.
