Description
(For the K-2 Class I will pick your child up directly from their classroom after school. For the 3-5 students they go directly to my A4 Classroom when they are dismissed.) This martial arts program does not involve any physical contact. Students will do Shao Lin Training exercises, and the Dragon form of Ba Gua Zhan and the Wu Yu Shan Tai Chi Chuan. The main focus will be the Chinese Gung Fu forms of Ba Gua Zhan and Wu Yu Shan Tai Chi. We will be doing Shao Lin stretching and warm up exercises before practicing the gung fu forms. These warm up exercises promote coordination, balance and flexibility. Ba Gua Zhan is one of the ‘soft’ martial arts closely related to Tai Chi Chuan. Ba Gua is faster and more physically demanding than the Wu Tai Chi. The Wu Tai Chi is a way to promote more coordination and balance for students who may find the Ba Gua a bit too challenging. Through this after school activity, students will be able to learn the value of martial arts, physical well being and have some fun! : ) **Early Arrival OK starting at 2:30 AND offering direct pickup at the classroom for Kinder and 1st grade!**
