Description
This class will explore the foundational techniques of ceramic handbuilding with Slowfire teacher Ms. Fernanda! Students will have fun learning all the ways they can build functional and sculptural items out of water based clay. We will then underglaze with a wide variety of colors and add a clear glass coat to their pieces. We will be firing and glazing their works, which requires time for the clay to dry, and the kilns to fire, so please note students will be bringing their work home at the end of the session! All materials, plus outside labor and kiln fees, are included in the cost of the class.
